This policy covers Bodhya Edge: the website bodhyaedge.com, the study app at yeshas.bodhyaedge.com and at each academy's own address (for example yeshasacademy.bodhyaedge.com), the academy consoles, and the Android apps Bodhya Edge (com.bodhyaedge.yeshas) and Bodhya Edge Console (com.bodhyaedge.yeshas.console).
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Name, email address, mobile number | To create your account and let you sign in; to contact you about your account, your purchase and your attempt — including by phone, WhatsApp or email. You can ask us to stop contacting you except about what you have bought. |
| Email confirmation codes | To prove the email address is yours. Stored only in scrambled (hashed) form and expire after minutes. |
| Password | To sign you in. Stored only as a one-way hash — nobody, including us and your academy, can read it. |
| Your state (when you buy) | Required on a GST tax invoice to decide the tax. |
| Purchases: what you bought, the price, the date, the payment ID and method, and your tax invoice | To give you the access you paid for, issue the GST invoice, and keep the records tax law requires. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details — payments are handled by Razorpay. |
| Study activity: chapters covered, answers to questions and MCQs, mock scores, flashcards, time spent, your study plan and settings | To run the app — your plan, revision schedule and progress — and keep it the same on your devices. An academy's staff see their own students' progress. |
| Your devices: a random device key stored in a cookie, the browser and device type (for example "Chrome on Android"), technical characteristics of the device (graphics chip, processor count, screen size and how it draws text), when it was first and last used, its IP address and approximate city | Account security: each account works on one phone and one laptop. The device characteristics let us recognise your device again if its cookie is cleared, so you are not locked out of your own phone or laptop — and tell it apart from someone else's. |
| Notification address and reminder times | To send study reminders, including when the app is closed. You can turn notifications off in your phone's settings. |
| Display name (optional) and items built in the app's World | Shown to classmates in an academy batch's revision board, in place of your real name if you set one. |
| Records of sign-ins and account actions, including failed sign-ins and refused devices | Security, and to resolve disputes. |
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, files, microphone or camera. There is no advertising in the apps, and we use no advertising or third-party analytics trackers.
Cookies are used only to keep you signed in and to recognise your registered device. The app also saves your progress and settings on your device so it works offline, and keeps copies of chapters you have opened; signing out removes those copies.
We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.
You can delete your account yourself at any time, in the app (Setup → Delete my account) or by email — see Delete your account for exactly what goes and what the law makes us keep.
All connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords and codes are stored only as one-way hashes. Sign-in cookies cannot be read by scripts on the page and expire after a few hours. Each academy's data is kept separate from every other's.
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us for a summary of the data we hold about you, to correct or complete it, or to delete it (except records the law requires us to keep), and you can withdraw consent to being contacted for anything other than what you have bought. Write to bodhyaedge@gmail.com from your account's email address; we reply within 7 days.

Bodhya Edge is meant for CA students. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to this policy on your behalf before you use it.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before the change applies. The date at the top shows the latest version.
